Haddon Acre attracts visitors from all over the world. Close to London and Oxford, but set in the rural landscape, the unique atmosphere is inescapable. The Sinodun Hills have inspired artists and photographers for centuries and the Iron Age fort on Castle Hill hints at the history here. Dorchester on Thames was a major Roman settlement and can be reached on foot by crossing the Thames. You can walk for miles without crossing a main road and the view from the Clumps is breathtaking.

OUR STORY

ABOUT US

Sue, Chris and Jonathan love the countryside and feel very privileged to be custodians of this magical acre of Oxfordshire. We have lived at Haddon Acre for 19 years and built an eco-friendly house and yurt 12 years ago. Sue’s background is design, specialising in clothing and textiles but as a creative person, loves all colour and texture in any context. Chris’ life has been dominated by music, firstly as a recording engineer and latterly in sales and marketing. Live music events have a particular appeal. Jonathan is an engineer passionate about vintage machinery – some of which can be glimpsed when visiting Haddon Acre.  We are here to welcome you to this special place.
